Tapering an Extrusion

Hello folks.

I have a question about approach to a design.

I want to be able to taper down the element I have marked stiffener from Plane1 at center pier to Plane2 at corner pier.

I am not sure if the Rib feature is the best tool to use, and I think perhaps I should have designed the stiffener as multiple ribs instead of a single vertical stiffener.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

This post does not really belong in the Support section of the forum.

If you read the description under “support” that will become clear.

I actually looked carefully before posting and didn't find another community that it was more suitable for. Perhaps you can tell me which one?

Thanks

So you defiled a surface and rotated it...then combined the result, and got rid of the extra - clever, thanks.

Normally questions concerning design, design processes and tricky problems should be posted on the Design, Validate & Document Forum.  The Fusion 360 Support Forum is normally used to troubleshoot and report application issues.

Yes, I cut the webs, with a sketch from your setting up, but I had to change an earlier Extrude to New Body first, to stop cutting the small post.  When done, I rejoined the small posts back in to one body, with the Combine.
