Tangency Loft

Hi,

I have a simple and quick question but I can't seem to find the information on this. When I try to make a loft tangent to a body I already created, the drop-down menu doesn't show the tangency option. How can I get it to show?

Thanks!

You have two choices, per Profile, Connected and Direction.  The Direction activates the tangency controls as far as I know.

Well there is always an exception to the rule.

@et_cetera  Your loft was turned around for demo purposes, delete Profile 1 and 2,

then reselect profile 2, then hide the sketches folder and select the face of the existing body,

select Tangent from the drop down.

Tangency is available when selecting face or edges,

Might help....

You have a profile that is coincident with a face.  If you choose the sketch profile, you only have Connected and Direction (based on the sketch normal).  However, if you choose the face, you will get Tangent and Smooth:
