I do not see any issue, at least in the setting up of the toolpath.  I do not have any machining or cutting capacity so I can speak to that.  Please attach your model and/or so other examples to show your issue.

The key to embedding a Screencast is to place your cursor at the end of your text, select the HTML icon above.  Then in the HTML insert box, touch the Enter key until you are on a completely blank line, it will embed every time.

Good Grief!  How many tabs do you want?  You are kidda over doing it.  Can you please attach your model and let me have a go at it.  If you do not know how to attach your model, open it in Fusion360, select the File menu and then choose Export and save the .F3D file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a reply forum post to attach it.

The little white dot you see come up is the tab.  The tab develops after your say OK to the setup.  Please attach your model.

the white dot represents the referenced geometry for the tab but as you can see the visual placement of the tab geometry is mis-located to where the white point is. this remains the same after accepting the tool path

I edited your tab settings to make the tab the full material thickness to show that they are developing exactly where you placed them.  I am only show one item but as you can see, they develop at the places you picked.  I do not think you want the one you place indicated by the red arrow, right on top of the feature.

hi jack, sorry but I think you're missing where the problem is. there are locations on the circumference of some of the bodies that are bugging out and won't allow me to place a tab. the white point will land where I select but the actual tab will show up in an adjacent location on another body. I'll try to get another screen grab if the first one is not portraying that

It is really easy to embed a Screencast if you use the HTML tool in the above toolbar and in the HTML box leave hit Enter until you are on a blank line.

I will make one last stab at this, if I do not satisfy your needs, I will have to let someone else help you out.  In my Screencast, I remove all tabs.  I do not change any of your tab settings.  Then I zoom in a place the same two tabs you show in your Screencast, in the general location, and then I show you that they develop in the exact location I selected.  Please note I embedded your Screencast and this one without issue.

hi John,

if you would humour me with one last try. can you replicate what you just did between the 3 and 6 o'clock positions of the RED bodies please. the file I provided you earlier was a different version than the one I had screen cast which was my mistake.
