System continually crashing

I'm busy with a model for a piece of equipment for my home workshop. I'm using the helical gear generator available in the add-ons folder to generate a gear needed. I think it is the gear generator but not sure. The system has crashed several times in the past two days while trying to do this task.

Is this a known problem at this time or is it maybe a corrupt gear generator file?
