Hello,

I'm looking at purchasing a 2011 Ray Feng RC-42. It's a gang lathe with live tooling so it has an indexable Spindle (C axis). My current lathe is running CentroidCNC and just has 2 axis and the PP is working good for that one.

I'm looking for a PP for the RC-42 and want to see what my options are before I send them $$ for the machine.

Looking through the lathe manual it seems pretty standard G/M code. G00 Rapids, G01 Inter., G02/G03 Cir. Inter....

Are there any generic PP that I may be able to use? I don't mind editing G code a little.

Thanks for the help!

Is the lathe spindle the one that is the C axis or is it for the tooling? I don't think we're going to have anything "right out of the box" for you to use, so it's certainly going to be trial and error on your part. I'd likely start with the Tsugami post processor, since it's for a Fanuc 0M control, the simplest that exists

From what I’m seeing in the manual, C is main spindle orientation in clamped mode otherwise S for main spindle speed. Clamping is called with M31 and M32 for clamp off. I think the live tooling speed is called using a tool.
I’ll check out the post you sent.

I agree. Looks like a simple PP that I can just tweak as needed. Just wanted to ask in case it’s already been done and save me the time.
