Support/feature request: Make multiple copies using the move tool

Hey there. I'm in a position where I'm trying to fill in an irregularly spaced grid with components. The point-to-point move tool is the fastest way I've found to do this, but I can't seem to figure out a way to have it make multiple copies of the component I'm moving if I select multiple target points. I feel like this would be a very useful feature when setting out irregular grids.

The 'Origin Point' and 'Target Point' both say '1 Selected' when I'm setting them, which gives the tantalising hint that you might be able to make more, but modifier keys do nothing.

See screen recording attached to see the situation in action.

I'm fully open to the idea that I'm just missing something or there's a better way to do this, but I couldn't find anything in searching the docs or this forum. Suggestions very welcome.

Thanks for your time.

I thought I would present in a Screencast the method I use to copy and place multiple components to random points quickly and easily.  I am placing components to use in the Combine operation, if you are placing components to use in an assembly you will need to use a method to fix them in place such as a Rigid Group or Joints.

Hi John, this is absolutely a better workflow than the one I was using. Thank you for taking the time to lay it out here. I still think the move tool being able to make multiple copies would be a worthwhile feature which makes me hesitant to accept this solution, but considering I'll be using this method going forward it's only fair. Thanks again!
