Student License expired early

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hey,

I have been using Fusion 360 under a student license for the past few months, and I am within the period that the license should last. I can no longer work (save and export) with Fusion as the license has expired (as mentioned in the top right hand corner of the screen). Is there a way to resolve this?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

It looks like your student license is still valid in the system. Can you please try deleting the LoginState.xml file? You can find it here after turning on hidden files and folders:

Windows:  C:\Users\(Your user profile)\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Web Services

OSX:  Macintosh HD > Users > (Your user profile) > Library > Application Support > Autodesk > Web Services

Please let me know whether that works!

Hi @Anonymous.raskauska,
I'm having the same problem, I thought I had a valid student license, I also had no information it was about to expire if that is indeed the case, I'm one of those early Fusion users that has been using it since it was still in Beta.
I deleted the LoginState.xml as you said but still the same problem.

Thank you!

Hey guys,

I just opened fusion again. And for some reason it worked. Tried to find the "LoginState.xml" file but couldn't find it under the right directory for some reason (I turned on view hidden files too). I think the issue may have been something to with working of a different WiFi network (?). Worked again once I used my own wifi at home and not a public one.

Hope this is insightful, thanks for the help!

@Pedro_Bidarra,

Just to clarify, did you close all instances of Fusion 360 before deleting LoginState.xml? Also, are you able to log into A360

@Pedro_Bidarra,

Ok - I went back and checked your license information, and it looks like it expired May 13th. You should be able to renew your student license by going to this page. Just sign in and then click "Renew Your Access." Please let me know if you have any trouble with that.
