.stl to solid body conversion

So after I import the .stl into fusion and generate the face groups  I get overlapping face groups. I have not found a way to separate the overlapping face groups, so when I convert the mesh I get the result that is shown in the second picture. Some of the face groups will not convert to a solid body so fusion does not generate them. How do I fix this issue?.stl issues.PNG.stl issues.1.PNG

Please attach your STL file.  I am not sure, you may have to Zip it first.

John, I am unable to attach as the file is too large, and if I zip it gets rejected due to the extension.

There is a combine face groups under the Prepare menu. With that you can merge the incorrect faces with the correct ones.

I used the combine tool also, with the same result. Some of the face groups overlap as you can see in the first picture and I do not see a way to separate them.

Did you select fast or accurate for the face groups? Did you try adjusting the boundary tolerance?

I selected accurate with a tolerance of .001
