.stl Exports fails

Anonymous

Hello,

I have a .dxf file that I'd like to convert to .stl. To this end, I saw on a Youtube tutorial that you can create a new component and then insert a .dxf file in the plane xy, for example. Then you just export the file as .stl.

However, when I followed these steps, the .stl export failed. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Maria

Hi,

Please share the file.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post.

Hi,

There is only one sketch in the file.

You must first create a body with the help of your sketch via Extrusion ....

You can then create a mesh body.

Rightclick > Create Mesh Body (Option: 3MF / STL)

Hi.

When I try to create a body via Extrusion, an error appears " Cannot complete extrusion. The extrude does not have all the required inputs. Try reselecting the inputs". I'm just selecting the whole scheme. Any suggestions?

I am getting a similar thing, I have a drawing I did last week(not massively complicated) which does work today yet I draw a 10mm circle extrude it 5mm, save and then export to .stl and it takes a few mins then says Failed?? so strange.

Any thoughts on this?  Thanks
