Fusion 360 exports a design as an STL once, then will not export as STL again until I quit the program and restart.  I have run the Service Utility to no effect and updated the program to no effect.

I do not know the cause of your problem but you will get better and quicker save to an STL file using the "Save as Mesh" command.  Right click on any body, component or top level assembly and select the command.  Read the options on the dialog box.

Save as Mesh.jpg

It works!  Thank you.  Exporting as mesh (STL ASCII) is a good work-around for an odd problem.  The standard export worked fine for years, then got buggy two weeks ago.

Wow this sure helped me.  Wish I knew sooner.  I was having the same issue.  On top of that, alot of my models have multiple bodies.  So if I wanted to 3d print just one piece, I would have to hide all other parts then export the one I wanted.  Now seeing this, it makes it so much easier.

Thank you.

[translated with Google]

For me it doesn't work.

When I launch the export in STL. Nothing happens and fusion 360 no longer responds.

It happened suddenly. I uninstalled fusion 360 then reinstalled it but nothing happened.

I tested with models that had no problem and it doesn't work anymore.
