SSL: DECRYPTION_FAILED_OR_BAD_RECORD_MAC Installation error

Hello,

even if i try to install fusion360 i got the same error message:

ssl.SSLError: [SSL: DECRYPTION_FAILED_OR_BAD_RECORD_MAC] decryption failed or bad record mac (_ssl.c:2555)

I follow all the hints and try  uninstall, deactivate antivirus, deactivate UAC, clear the registry, restart. but nothing helps.

Does someone have an idea or is there a new installation instruction for fusion360 on windows?

I attach the logfile for research.

Thanks

Tobi

Hi @Anonymous, sorry you're experiencing this!

You have already tried a few steps in this Knowledge Network article, but we could try a few more things.

In particular, I'm curious if the time in Windows is in sync, and if there is any notable configuration on for your network, such as a proxy, VPN, or enterprise firewall.

Good morning Lance,

today in the morning every problem is gone away. Strange thing, i did not change anything. Maybe there were something wrong with my internet connection yesterday. Because i also had problems downloading the cleanup tool.

Everything worked fine for my, so maybe you like to add a additional step into the knowledge articel: restart your internet connection

Thanks,

Tobi

It's quite possible you caught a server-side error. Right place, wrong time!

Great advice, thank you.

Turn off the anti virus and turn off the automatic launching of apps when opening a pc. then you're good to go
