Split: "There is unhandled intersecting tool data." when Editing Feature

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am trying to edit a Split feature far back in the timeline, but Fusion is accusing me of providing intersecting tool data for the Split, even for how I performed it previously. I am guessing that the tangent faces I selected are overlapping. Is there something I can do to fix the model so the faces stop counting as overlapping (or whatever will fix this)?

Additional:

A number of updates have occurred since when I started working on this.

I could not find this error text anywhere online.

The splitting tools selected, with error onscreen:

Link to file (let me know if there are issues):

Further details:

1. Attempting to create a new Split feature in the same section of timeline yields the same results.

2. This is what the feature looks like when highlighted in the timeline (the curves and top edges should be selected too):

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting that. Yes - I think that Fusion is a bit confused about what your intention is with the split. I would recommend in this case using an offset in the patch environment with a value of 0 to create the splitting tool. Then you can extend the surfaces manually to define what you are trying to do.

Here's your file with a new patch surface used as the splitting tool:

I had a similar problem and the patch solution worked for me.
