Spacemouse movement restriction in sketch mode

Hi,

After the update 2.0.11680, there was a report in the German forum of a limitation of the spacemouse in sketch mode.
There, the action of the spacemouse is limited to PAN & Zoom, whereby rotations are not possible. However, if you move the viewcube minimally, the full range of movement is available again.
I have recreated the behaviour and ask if this is an intended behaviour.

I've have also noticed this.  You can also "break loose" the restriction by rotating with the middle mouse button but it comes back if you click a view (eg. top, side) or start editing a sketch again.  I also had this behavior when I enabled the preview of the 3d connexion options in preferences, so I turned that back off.  Until this latest update when they moved it out of preview.

I'm on Fusion 2.0.11680, and 3dConnexion 10.8.3.3389 (latest as of this morning), Windows 10.

There is an update to Fusion 360 to address the following issues for customers using Windows:

  • Support for older 3Dconnexion devices
  • 3Dconnexion pan and zoom behavior in Sketch mode

The update includes a new preference to use the legacy 3Dconnexion drivers for the experience of the previous integration between Fusion and 3Dconnexion devices. If you have an older device, it should be supported by the Legacy driver setting in Fusion.

Note: This will also remove the newest features like constrained orbit, and advanced button customization features, but only temporarily. We are currently working with 3Dconnexion on a solution for the sketch pan/zoom behavior that is intended to provide both the latest functionality as well as options for sketch behavior.

To get the latest build, 2.0.11894:

  1. Restart Fusion 360
  2. Watch the Job Status indicator
  3. When complete, click Restart Fusion

To get the Legacy driver option:

  1. Open Preferences
  2. Click the dropdown next to SpaceMouse driver
  3. Select Legacy
  4. When prompted, restart Fusion

3dconnexion has released their latest driver for windows with full support for Sketch Lock on/off. The version is now 10.8.5

Steps:

1. After installing the latest drivers, open the 3dconnexion settings, Advanced, Other:
