Solid Split Body Issue - No Intersection Error

Hey everyone!

I'm building an investment casting mold and I am having an issue with splitting this solid with the surface. I need to separate the solid as the smaller piece will become half of a slide. 

I was successful at splitting the solid labeled "side 2", but not on side 1. I used the same surface and workflow as side 2. I keep getting the "no intersection error" no matter what I do. Side 2, I had zero issues.

PROBLEM SOLVED! - There must have been something off about the offset surface I used that Fusion wasn't happy with. I recreated the curves from the offset surface so I could create a patch surface. Fusion was fine using the patch surface to slice the solid.
