sketches and/objects disapear

hi guys,

I'm a newbie in Fusion 360, but coming from other CAD programs, I found it pretty straight forward to get used to it. However, I keep losing components, sketches etc. whenever I save and reopen Fusion. It's really weird, the objects disappear entirely from the browser. I'm not sure what is causing this, my wildest guess would be it has to do with syncing? I work only on one computer, so I don't think it has to deal with versioning. This is happening to ALL of my projects, therefore I cannot rely on Fusion. Is it not possible to work entirely on my local machine? I know there's an export function, but that's really annoying.

I hope you guys can help me.

Hi @bilgi_sakarya

Some things that might contribute:

  1. Ensure the version of Fusion installed is up to date.
  2. Ensure your computer is connected to the internet.
  3. Ensure there aren't any operating system updates pending, like Windows updates.
  4. Check the files via Fusion Team to ensure they have the correct date/time stamp.

Things to try:

  • Clearing the cache on the systems. Help > Support & Diagnostics > Clear user cache.
  • Ensure you are online.
  • Check for any pending file uploads.

If none of this helps and everything seems to be fine, try to manually uninstall F360.

Hi,

Please share the file.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post.

I highly doubt that this has anything to do with syncing.  If there was a sync problem, the design would not open at all.  I've never heard of  a case where individual objects would be dropped this way.  Also, having some insight into the way that Fusion data is stored, I also cannot see how this can happen.  Further, if you are only using one computer, the design is cached locally, so subsequent opens of the model don't involve syncing from the cloud at all.

Are your designs history-based?  The symptoms you describe sound, to me, like the design was saved in a "rolled back" state.  Either the end-of-design marker was moved to the left, or, perhaps, the design was saved while editing a sketch early in the design.  Click on the "Move to the end" icon in the timeline:
