Sketch Position vs Edit Sketch Position

Imagine this……you’re sketching a shaft. This shaft is 120” long therefore it requires a lot of zooming to see the details and there are many details.

Now you are looking at the sketch all blown and rotated into the desired position and you need to make an edit.

Soooo…… you go to the Browser and click Sketch (the appropriate sketch) then click “Edit Sketch”

The first thing our software does is to zoom completely out on the shaft and rotate it to some undesired position.

Now that “Edit Sketch” is activated the first thing ya have to do to make the desired edits is to “Zoom” to locate the desired detail and then “Rotate” back to the desired position so that you can now Edit the Sketch

Can you tell me if there is setting that will hold the shaft on Position when “Edit Sketch” is activated?

Thanks

You can disable auto look at sketch in your settings but then you have to manually look at the sketch. If auto look at sketch is enabled, there is no way to stop Fusion from rotating to where ever it feels like. I find it so annoying that I turn off auto look at sketch.
