Sketch plane weird rotation - bug?

Hello

So today I was working on a model and seemingly out of nowhere when I tried to create a sketch on a plane, the sketch didn't line up, and was rotated. This for sure did not happen at first, and nothing happens when I undo everything, so I'm basically stuck like this now and it is driving me nuts.

I have tried to explain it in the video below.

(I couldn't get the video embedded for some reason)

I am using Windows 10 Home (18363) and Fusion 360 version 2.0.9719

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I tried to drill down to find the source of the issue, but finally gave up as there were so many interdependencies.

My only comment is that if I had built the assembly you would most likely be able to delete any and all components without getting a reference Deletion Warning.

I avoid creating unnecessary dependencies.

Edit:  OK, I was able to get to one component - now let's see if I can figure out what's going on...

Okay 😕

Guess I'll have to start fresh and make sure to not do whatever I did before (If it wasn't just a bug I guess).

But thank you very much for the effort!

I am still trying to figure out when to use bodies and when to use components, which resulted in me grouping some bodies together as components late in the process but then leaving behind the sketches because I couldn't move them over to a new component. So that might be why there are some dependence issues.

Also (this is kind of off-topic) - but, I just want to ask you since you seem to know fusion360 quite well, Is there a way to change the wireframe appearance of non-activated components, to let's just say "shaded with edges"? I have in some cases been tempted to only work with bodies just so I can have different "components" shown all with the same "shaded with edges"-appearance and non of them having the annoying see-through wireframe appearance.

Anyhow thanks again for the effort and quick response 🙂

I'm no expert with Fusion 360, hopefully one of the experts will come along and comment...

I think you are looking for this Preference switch.  When unchecked, all the components in the assembly WILL NOT ghost when you activate only one.Active Component.jpg
