Sketch over-constrained warning when deleting dimension and re-applying to same sketch elements

I constrained my sketch to allow me to change the location of mounting holes in relation to the centerline of the subplate I'm working on. I had them positioned 1.00" to the right of the centerline but after aligning it on a model of my mill's subplate I wanted to move them to the opposite side of the centerline. Since I can't just plug in a negative dimension, I tried to delete the dimension, drag the features over to the left of my centerline, and add a new sketch dimension. When I try to do this I get an error telling me the dimension would over-constrain the sketch when I'm trying to just re-do the dimension I just deleted. I get the same error when I try to constrain it the way it was before I deleted it too. The screencast should demonstrate what I'm talking about. Any ideas?
