Sketch lines don't show on the canvas

I've probably done a hundred of these where I upload a hand tool and sketch around it to make a 3D printed tool holder. So I haven't touched my preferences or display options in ages. But now, when I sketch around the canvas, the sketch line disappears so that I can only see it when the canvas is turned off. So I'm not able to continue with the outline around the tool. I've looked in the archives and others have apparently had the same problem, but no one ever posts a solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try unchecking Display Through. I'll put this in your other thread as well. PS. When you accept an answer you're supposed to accept the post that solved the problem not your last post saying that worked.
