sketch is separate from the body extruded from it, how to reconnect them?

I've noticed that the sketch I made is separate from the body that was extruded from it, does anyone know how it might've happened and how I can connect them again so that the sketch is in the same plane as the face of the body? I'm just trying to sketch a place on the body to connect to another body, but the new sketch only appears on the old sketch rather than on the actual body, and so when I use loft to connect the 2 different bodies it only connects to that old sketch.

Thank you!

Did you move the body? If you attach an f3d file of your model, someone can look at it and give you a solution.

I actually figured it out! I just redefined the sketch I made onto the face I wanted after clicking the eye next to the old sketch so that it wouldn't appear
