Sketch dimensions dont "stick"

Anonymous
Not applicable

In the Sketch environment when assigning dimensions, my input dimensions don't initially save.

I have to go back and double click the incorrect dimension and retype the correct dimension.

For example if drawing a two point rectangle I type 2" for one leg, hit the tab key and type 2" for the second leg, then press Enter key, only the first dimensions saves. The second dimension reverts to what ever I roughly pulled the rectangle before entering dimensions. To correct this I go back and double click the incorrect dimension, type correct dimension, and hit enter. This only started occurring in the past week.

Thank you for any help!

This has been reported many times already.  This situation is only happening to users of Fusion 360 that use Windows 7 operating system.  Autodesk has stopped supporting Fusion 360 for the Windows operating system so you may experience other issues as well.  The work around is to place the dimension and then use the Dimension tool to correct it or dimension it from scratch.

I have this same problem running the latest version of windows and just installed F360.

The response seems to indicate that Windows operating system is not supported.   This cant be true, is it?

What version of Windows are you running (be specific).

What is your graphics card and driver (be specific).

The response was intended to state that Windows 7 OS is not supported. It was not intended for  reference to later version of Windows.

I know this is an older thread, but I just recently started having exactly the same issue.  I didn't have any problems prior to about a week ago.

I'm running the latest version of F360 on Windows 10 Pro with the latest update. (10.0.19041 build 19041)

The graphics card I'm using is a Gigabyte GTX 1060.

It's very frustrating.

@ericF4LWE  Looks like there was a fix released a week ago, what version are you running, v2.0.9930 seems to be the latest version of Fusion.

Thank you for the reply.  It seems I'm not running the latest version after all.  I don't see any way to update though.  The autodesk desktop app isn't showing any pending updates for F360.

EDIT:  All fixed.  Thank you again.

@TheCADWhisperer , that's what I assumed but wanted to clarify before I went nuts looking for a solution.

I found in another post that you have to run F360 in compatibility mode and that fixed my problem.
