Shrinkage simulation

Hello I am simulating a shrinkage simulation when the temperature of the material is reduced from 37-26. The shrinkage percentage here is 3%.

Therefore my coefficient of linerar thermal expansion is 0.005 here. But the problem is that I couldn't put a value lower than 0.001 for thermal expansion coefficient in material properties section. What can I do for that. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Hi @k_okkar_gerd,

I'm curious which unit system you're using. This can be set in the Fusion preference 'Unit and Value Display' > 'Material Unit Display'

Set material units.png

If 'Metric Standard' is active, the enforced lower bound value is 0.100 µm/(m·°C):

When 'Metric mks' is active, the enforced lower bound value is 1.000E-07 inv °C:

It seems that entering 0.005 should be well within the acceptable range, assuming you're using 'Metric mks'.

Best regards,
