Shift + Right Click Orbit not working

Hey everyone,

For some reason, the shift + right click command to orbit my workspace stops working. It randomly happens and when it does, I have to quit Fusion, reopen and sign in. After that it works fine again, until it doesn't. Ha.

Any idea on what might be causing this?

I'm on a Mac running Monterey 12.3.1 .

Thanks in advance!

Hi @thespaltydog

Thanks for posting.

There is a new Fusion 360 update this morning and make sure that the latest build is installed on your machine.

Solution 1: GO to help ( top right corner) > About > Latest build ( 2.0.13158 ), If the latest version is not installed restart fusion 360 to update the latest one.

Solution 2: If the above solution doesn't help in resolving the issue

  1. Click the Profile Name in the top right corner
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Click Restore defaults in the left bottom corner of the Preferences tab
  4. Restart Fusion 360.

Note: This will restore all the preferences to defaults.

Solution 3 :

  1. Click the Profile Name in the top right corner
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Under the General tab, make sure that Fusion 360 is selected in pan, zoom or orbit shortcut option. Try orbiting with other software options like Solidworks.

I hope one of the suggestions will be helpful in resolving the issue. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Pramod

Hey @pramod.pk2XX6G,

I'm currently on version 2.0.12888

I've quit fusion and restarted but still haven't gotten the latest version you mentioned. Any way to manually check and install an update?

Hi @thespaltydog

If the latest version of Fusion is not installed on your machine, Run the latest streaming installer to resolve the issue.

  1. Close Fusion 360.
  2. Download the latest installer for the appropriate Autodesk Fusion 360 product (e.g. Fusion 360 or Fusion 360 - Ultimate), see How to download Fusion 360.
  3. Run the installer.
  4. Start Fusion 360 again. I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Pramod
