Sheet Metall Rules - Library

I worked in sheet metall and wanted to create a new rule in the library.

Suddenly all were gone, except the one which is in use. If I create a new part, they are still away.

How can this happen? I did not feel making a mistake.

But anyhow, is it possible to restore?

Thanks, Bernd

Hi @Bernd_CAD

I'm sorry to hear that Smiley Sad

Have you tried resetting the menu?

Menu missing from the main ribbon in Fusion 360

How to reset to the default layout in Fusion 360

If you can't resolve it, it might help if you can do a clean uninstallation and reinstall again.

I look forward to your reply

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

Hi @Bernd_CAD

Thanks for posting! While I am unsure of how the sheet metal rules may have been removed, I have attached a file that uses all the generic sheet metal rules in Fusion. You can open this file and then add the rules to your library as shown below (In Modify > Sheet Metal Rules in the Sheet Metal workspace).

Hopefully this helps! Let us know if you see any other problems with the rules disappearing and we will continue troubleshooting.

Hi @Bernd_CAD

Thanks for the response! I notice I do not have the option to add the rule to my library when the rule is already present in my library, and that the library is not expanded in your screenshot. Does clicking the arrow next to where it says library?

Also of note - the add to library option will only show up if you right click the rule - it will not be shown while hovering or when the rule is selected like the icons in your screenshot.

Hopefully this helps! If it does not, I would try a clean uninstall and reinstall - the instructions are linked in Ahreums initial response to your post. Please let me know if you continue to see problems!

Hi Clauss,

I tried it again. But I do not find the option 'copy to library'.

I think I tried everything.

Please help, to fix the problem.

Thanks. Bernd

Hi @Bernd_CAD

Have you performed a clean uninstall/reinstall of Fusion 360? Are you opening the design I attached to the third post in this thread when copying the designs into the library? I notice your previous screenshot shows a different file.

I hope this helps! If you continue to have difficulties, please record a screencast illustrating that the "Add to Library" option not working in the file I attached previously - I am happy to continue looking into this problem.
