Shadow Rendering Anomaly

I've run into a software anomaly where if a specific component is visible, shadows will not render.

If the "Lander Red" component is turned off, shadows will render.
If all the objects in "Lander Red" component are turned off, but the component is turned on, shadows will not render.
Moving the objects to another component, and turning off the "Lander Red" component will allow shadows to render.
