Is there a way to modify how the setup sheet saves its name?
Our company has a part numbering system of its own that has a company number followed by a document number.
AB1001 (Company Number).1001(Document Number)
So when a customer print comes in, we assign our own part number to it and it might look something like this.
AB1001.1001
My problem is when I post a setup sheet for each operation I am working on, it takes the fusion file name (which is our part number), but it thinks that the part number ends at the period. So all of my setup sheets are named the same thing. AB1001
My workaround is to create a separate windows folder for each setup that contains the NC program file and the setup sheet. This is ok, but in the grand scheme of things, I have thousands of setup sheets that are saved as the exact same name on our server, albeit in different folders.
I would prefer if it would name the setup sheet the entire part name, but I also do not want to deviate from my companies standard practice by changing it to something like AB1001_1001 because our ERP system would not match.
