Setting to not un-select objects after an operation completes or cancels?

This is probably my biggest annoyance with Fusion 360.

I select some objects. I start the move command and realize that the point on another component I want to move them to is hidden or un-selectable. I can't modify anything in the tree during the operation (which is another annoyance), so I have to cancel the move to make the other component selectable, but doing so loses my selection 😠. Why?! Why can't Fusion just leave my selection intact after the operation cancels??

Yes I know I can make selection sets but that is not a good solution because that's several extra steps and clicks when all I want is for Fusion to stop deselecting for me after operations complete/cancel.

Is this possibe?
