Setting mass for a component -

Like most CAD users, I often find myself either drawing a simple place-holder block or downloading a .STEP file for some component that I don't have the internal structure for. It would be very helpful to be able to set the mass for the component without having to fudge up some make-believe material from the given volume! I know that the COG won't come out quite right, but usually I don't care.

there is no way to set the mass for a component.  However, you can:  Define a custom material that has a density such that its volume will produce the correct mass, even for a simple block placeholder component.

I know that I can put in a special material. I am simply suggesting this as something for future addition.
