Hi,

This message indicates that Fusion believes there is a network 'listener' between your computer and our servers. Generally this is innocent, and is caused by security software such as a proxy or firewall. It can also commonly be caused by using public wi-fi services in hotels or airports. If you are on your regular network and no configuration has changed, then it may indicate a malicious application on your computer.

If you aren't aware of any recent changes to your network setup I can provide some pointers on how to investigate what is happening.

Regards,

Hi cosmin85,

Welcome to the Fusion community! Sorry to hear that you have experienced the problem.

Does it persist on your side even after restarting Fusion? If so, would you attached the log files here for further investigation?

Hi,

We were experiencing some issues on the backend. Can you try restarting your computer to see if it helps?

Hello,

I got the same message (Server Verification Warning). Screenshot and diagnostic log files attached. Before this happened, the software had network connectivity issue (I downloaded it from my home), and it did not allow me to open the software. But, I got it fixed after modifying proxy settings (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...) and also adding the following sites to trusted sites.

https://ui-dls360.autodesk.com/fusion/version.txt

https://ui-dls360.autodesk.com/fusion/maintenace_services.txt

(Reference: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/fusion-360-unable-to-connect-to-internet/td-p...)

Would this issue affects the functionality of this software? Please help.

Thank you,

Detia

Hi,

If you're adding the server urls to your white list you may be missing some of them. The complete list can be found in this article:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Net...

Can you check that list to see if you're missing any and let us know?

I have the same issue at the moment and since the last 2-3 days.
I haven't made any changes to my system at all.

I've also seen this from time to time, without any changes to my system. Currently (at the time of writing), I will get this error every time I launch Fusion. Everything works though, and the warning can be disabled, but I still would like to know why this happens. My best guess is that some Autodesk server isn't responding at the moment, but I haven't tried digging deeper. My firewall allows all connections from the various Fusion executables (AdCefWebBrowser.exe, adexmtsv.exe and Fusion360.exe), so I don't think it is a firewall issue.

Hi!

After many remote sessions with Autodesk (thanks for all the help) and a reinstall of my workstation I found out that changing the DNS servers solved the issue.

That's interesting!

I just tried manually setting my DNS to use Google (8.8.8.8) instead of my ISPs DNS, and when I started Fusion, I noticed it took a lot longer to start. And the warning did indeed disappear, but the strangest thing is that suddenly I was logged in with my forum nickname (in the dropdown top right), instead of my full name which I usually have. In this state (when the forum nick is shown), I also have only preferences available under the dropdown, where I usually also have other items like Autodesk account).

Could be some DNS propagation issue (if Autodesk has made changes), since I guess the DNS servers resolves to different addresses, but I don't get why that should change my login...?

Edit: When I changed the DNS back, Fusion reverted to the correct login and gave the warning again.

Hi,

I wonder if your Google account and Fusion account are the same email address and password?

Regarding performance, redirections are like adding doors you have to go through to get to the internet (outside). Hence all of our interactions with our servers will be affected which will add to things like startup, saving files, live review initialization and redraws, rendering, animations, sim, etc.

@baribakI never use the same password any two places on the internet, and I don't use a gmail address with my Autodesk account. However, my email address is registered with my Google account, and also being used with the Autodesk account. However, I don't understand why changing the DNS server should cause Fusion to change the login?

Hi,

I'm not all that clear on how that's happening as well. Are you using Hosts file edits to redirect?

We have seen issues with some apps where their login seems to override ours preventing us from logging in. We're still trying to track this down.

Just to make my situation/process clear:

Suddenly my Fusion switched to Offline mode, got the server verification warning, could still work in the software though.
Waited for 2-3 days
Started to google, got some links to guides in this thread, followed them which resulted in me deleting some files in the system.
After that I couldn't start Fusion 360 at all.
I had 3 remote sessions with Autodesk and they couldn't see what caused this, although at the last session we did see that something was stopping updates for Nvidia Drivers for example.
Decided to reinstall my workstation from scratch (due to lack of time, I needed to get my Fusion in online mode again)
After complete re-installation of windows 10 I installed Fusion 360 as the first application to reinstall, and I STILL got the complaint about Internet Connection missing when started Fusion.
Talked to one of my good friends who also is a fusion 360 user and a skilled network engineer/DevOp and he told me to change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 so I did that through the internet settings dialog, and restarted the machine. After that Fusion 360 launched in online mode.

Hi,

The re-routing of the DNS is due to an issue with your ISP. I believe if we resolve that issue we will have a better understanding of what's going on.

The trip through Google's servers will undoubtedly add time to most operations as now we are being directed out through their servers to ours, then back to their's, then your system. This could lead to "time outs" that will affect online operation.

The question is what is wrong with your ISP's servers that you have to go out through Google's?

To see if it would make a difference have you tried going to another network (e.g. library) to see if NOT going through Google resolved anything.

@baribak

No, I don't have anything in my hosts file.

If I set the DNS of my computer to 8.8.8.8 and then start Fusion, it reports me as user mroek in the top right corner, but there are no options to sign in or out if I click on it. The only two items that come up in the dropdown are Preferences and Work Offline. Which is odd.

Then I started Fusion using my ordinary DNS and signed out, changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 again, and restarted Fusion. Now it claims it can't even connect to the internet, and just closes before even being properly opened.

Changing the DNS back again (to ISP default) I can start Fusion again, and sign in. But I still get this server verification warning. Something funky is going on, no doubt. Another thing is that Fusion somehow manges to sever my internet connection (on the computer) for a brief moment when it starts, not sure how that's even possible. I only noticed it when I had a radio app running, while starting Fusion, because then the radio app lost it's connection to the internet. I could just have it resume immediately, so Fusion somehow manages to just create a brief drop/loss of the connection.
