Server Verification Error 11/11/22

Hello,

In all of my labs today my users are seeing the server verification warning. Looked at this article from Autodesk

From my logs it looks like the certificate is revoked. Is anyone seeing a similar issue today?

Yes, same issue when launching Fusion 360.

Running Network Diagnostic Test inside Fusion 360 Service Utility only flags a problem with mcmaster.com.

I can confirm I'm seeing same error as original poster in my AppLogFile.  Shouldn't the network diagnostics flag this issue when tested?

Server fails independent SSL testing:

Four hours later, same error, nothing on the Health Dashboard . . . .

Why has this had ZERO attention?

Same here, I'm sure it has something to do with the server outage scheduled for tomorrow. They just don't feel we are worth telling.

I'n glad to hear I'm not the only one having issues today. I thought I was going crazy.

Every time I tried to sit down and work on 360 I would get this warning.
I can't get rid of the pop up....  Just comes back over and over so fast there is no way to do anything.

Ok so update has been done and still the same error. You think one of you forum mods can stop reading our issues and reply? I love paying for software and getting ignored.

Same for me today on both Windows and Mac.  Clicking "cancel" seems to let me keep working, but the warning keeps coming up every 5-10 minutes or so.

Same here; this is evidently a misconfiguration of their servers, someone has failed to change certificates during their botched downtime. This is the reason why using always online product sucks 😞

did you read the message that popped up and clicked learn more. it gives the action to take

or just go to your preference page and select ignore warning

Why you recommending that people reduce their security by ignoring the warnings when no one from Autodesk has addressed this?

The two most likely causes are either the server time is incorrect (possibly related to daylight savings change in the US last weekend) or that the server certificate is invalid, expired, or revoked.  Unlikely is that there is a man-in-the-middle attack to collect Autodesk account logins . . . but that is in fact the purpose of the certificate in this use case, to ensure that you are sending your credentials to a legitimate Autodesk server.

If we could get an actual response from Autodesk about this issue then perhaps it would be OK to recommend a temporary work around.

I did not. On the other hand, I do not expect any software I use to generate the warning.

"Unable to validate a security certificate"

This is almost always an error with the host site and needs to be fixed.

Same issue here on 11/13.

From the logs, it appears to be an issue with the certificate on the server side.

Our apologies for this issue. We have made the changes on our side and this should not be showing up any longer. Thank you for your patience and escalating this on the forums.
