General
- peteGCAB6 thought that it would be better if the Export dialog remembered the last used file format while exporting. We thought that it should too, so now the Fusion 360 will remember the last used file format when you export.
- When plowry01 imported a DXF file that contained a number of holes, Fusion 360 didn’t not recognize those holes when he tried to extrude the DXF sketch. We’re glad to report that this issue has been fixed.
- Exporting a sheet metal design as DXF unexpectedly “dirtied” the active document, as if you had a pending un-saved change to your design. This was not designed to happen, and now exporting a DXF will no longer dirty your design.
- We got a report about how the data panel wasn’t showing any of your projects if you wento into offline mode. It was only after you signed out and signed back into Fusion 360 that the data panel populated your projects again. This is now fixed: your projects should be visible without needing to sign in and out.
- When a mesh body was copied from one tab to the other tab (Document) with "Do not capture Design History" being activated, Fusion 360 didn’t allow you to save the file and gives the following error "The source asset FusionAssetName in the document... has not referenced the target asset FusionAssetName in document.....". This has now been fixed and you should be able to save the file as expected.
Modeling
- One of you told us that when you used the hole feature in the Design workspace, the tapped hole diameter shown on the hole dialog box was different than the actual measured value (output value). We squashed this bug and now input values should be identical to the output/measured values.
- tiktuk came across a crash issue when he tried to open a specific design he had that contained a mesh scan. This is now fixed.
- LiveLover reported an issue where editing a previously performed pattern on his design messed up the pattern direction. Thanks for reporting this; we got this sorted.
- thespaltydog's report of Thin Extrude not working when starting “From Object” has been fixed.
- stupadmitry's post about the bug he found in his Rectangular Pattern workflow involving an extrude cut operation has been fixed.
- We squashed a bug that was causing issues in Circular Pattern. Apparently, using the command for a single hole failed to create the same hole attributes in copies. Now it works as it should.
- We fixed a Sheet Metal Flange issue that was reported to our support team; when a Sheet Metal tab features was mirrored in a particular design, Fusion 360 gave the wrong result. One of the selected Sheet metal tab feature failed to mirror. Now it should mirror as expected.
Sketching
- patmat2350's forum post about a mystery error occurring in Project to Surface has been fixed.
- paul6EB55's report of a compute error being triggered after he changed a parameter in his design has been fixed.
- jschmidt1340 told is that when creating new sketch objects, he stumbled upon a bug that was keeping constraints to be visible even if “Show Constraints” was turned off. on new sketch objects. This is now fixed.
- LiveLover back at it again with other bug report, and this time, it’s about constraints too. Apparently after he copied and pasted a sketch, the constraints were unexpectedly invisible. Sorry about that, this is now fixed too.
- We fixed a sketch solver issue that was causing instability to Fusion 360 when you made changes to your sketch dimensions.
- We fixed an issue where Fit Point spline constraint was lost when you edited the work-plane angle of an adjoining arc. Now the constraint will remain intact.
Graphics and Animation
- Some of you have been crashing Fusion 360 by performing a seemingly simple Extrude command. As we dug into this, we found that it had something to do with AMD Radeon Graphics processors. This is now fixed.
- We discovered that if you copied an Animation storyboard and pasted it onto another storyboard name, Fusion 360 didn’t know how to handle it and crashed. This was embarrassing, so we got it sorted out and now it will no longer crash.
Drawing
- emillner's report of an Alternate Dimension label problem he found when trying to delete the “mm”units is now fixed.
- Some of you have told us that you’ve come across instances where some sheets in your drawing cannot be individually selected, moved, opened, nor deleted. This should not be the case, for any drawing. This has now been fixed.
- Apparently, the Hatch command was not working correctly if you were running Fusion 360 in Italian and working on a drawing. This issue was detected on macOS machines. Now it does.
Electronics
- When generating 3D PCB using "View 3D PCB with options" (and check e.g. Stop Layer Geometry) and then regenerating it using View 3D PCB (not with options), Fusion 360 doesn’t remember the last checked options. Instead, it went with the default options. We fixed this so that View 3D PCB now generates the model with last checked options.
- We fixed a bug that was causing a Molex-8P part that was made in Fusion 360 to not update the 3D view after changes were made to the 2D schematic view.
Manufacture
- jgaertner reported that when he attempted to paste one or more operations from one document into another, the paste action (in the context menu) was randomly not shown, preventing the paste from occurring. This is now fixed.
- flatout3d's report of the Finish Tool not maintaining contact with the part profile (leaving more stock on the model than expected) has been fixed.
- brandon.hanoun told us about an issue where using negative stock to leave in either a turning profile roughing or finishing operation with a grooving tool with round insert was giving an error. This is now fixed.
- jeph00's report of toolpaths having an incorrect diagonal rapid move has been fixed.
- You told us that the Adaptive Clearing toolpath was getting stuck at 53.8% when Reduce Air Cutting for 3D Adaptive Clearing preview feature is enabled in Fusion 360. This is now fixed and it will no longer be getting stuck.
- We fixed an issue in the Manufacturing Working model where the Mirror feature previously applied to components was not properly maintained through a save/reopen workflow.
