Separate Pipe and make a slip joint

Hello, I'm new and I'm trying to make this pipe to fit a project and I got it all done to the shape I needed and realized I needed to separate it at the section in the image due to height restrictions when screwing it in. Anyways, how can I separate it there and add a piece to the threaded side that would slip into the end section to connect back together?

Create a Plane on Path, and slide it into place.

Split Body with the Plane, Sketch on the plane for an internal sleeve / lip / clearance.

Plane on a Path is always 90 deg to the Path.

However an offset plane to the Origin is always parallel, so your choice.

Ye I think were on two different pages here.... I redrew the pipe with a straighter section where the two pieces would come together and I split the two (But didn't separate), now I cant figure out how to make the piece that would go inside to connect the two.... Can you make a clip of how to do it please.... Like I said I'm VERY new and learning this for 3d printing so most of what your saying I have to search the web for a video.

Presuming you don't want the pipe choked

New sketch on face of the elbow, project the pipe into the sketch (purple circles)

Thin Extrude inside circle, for Lip as a join.

Hide that tube, unhide the other body,

Thin Extrude the same circle as a Cut.

Dimensions to suit.
