The component is hidden. I do not want to select a face from a hidden component. Is this by design?

In your video, your component you are selecting is not hidden as far as I can see.  I tested it on my system and if the component is hidden, you cannot select the face of it.

I just looked at the video to double check. This is what happens:

1: Bodies are hidden.

2: I select the Press/Pull tool (bodies are still hidden).

3A: I click on the face I want to select.

3B: At the same exact time as I click on the face I want to select, bodies become unhidden.

This is all shown within the first second of the video.

I cannot replicate your issue on my model.  Please attach your model you used in the video.

I, also, am unable to reproduce this.  I tried all combinations of Press/Pull, and I did not see any case where my invisible component became visible or selectable.  So, as @jhackney1972 requested, please share this model with us so we can investigate.

Attached should be the file saved seconds after video was taken.

That's strange.  I do not see that behavior, even with your model.  Could be some setting difference, I suppose, but I have no idea what that setting would be.  Do you see anything different that I am doing?

I created a Screencast using your model and followed the steps you outlined in Message 3.  I do not see the results, the instantaneous visibility of the Bodies folder, you say is happening to you.  I repeated the process a few times, with different settings, but it never occurred.
