When I use the search bar to find my files it fails when I Search for anything using a hyphen in the name.

 

When I search for "ld" I might get dozens of results for our part names, when I search for "ld-0028" I get There is no object with ID Community [2017020762233826] present.

 

Reducing my search to "ld-" still gives that error message.

 

Is this a bug that I can no longer use hyphens in Search? Or am I doing something wrong? This is across multiple devices and does not go away after log-off/log-on in Fusion. It started occurring after several updates ago.

Hi @Jon_Bancroft ,

 

I used to see this but we had fixed this a while back. It was an issue with search after a project transfer from a personal hub to a team hub. Are you searching for a file that is in a team hub?

 

Do you get this when trying to search in Fusion Team online? Also, if you don't use a hyphen any issues?

Yes I moved my personal files to the new team hub 2-3 months ago.

 

I don't search every day so I cannot recall if this immediately started after moving my files or if it started after an update.

 

The problem is identical when using the online team hub.

 

I noticed an additional quirk, when I search for "ld" and get a page of results and scroll to the bottom and click "show next results" (and online when it attempts to load more automatically) I then get the same error message and it fails to load more.

This problem has returned.

 

I can search for a part name like "SP" and get dozens of results.

 

But when I search for "SP-PL" or "SP-" the search bar fails and gives me the same error message.

 

"There is no object with ID Community [2017020762233826] present."

 

I am able to search for "SP PL" and I get the correct results.

 

So it seems like I cannot search for anything that has a hyphen?

 

I used to be able to get rid of this behavior by changing my projects folder back and forth a couple times and then searching again and it would work. But just like a year ago, it has now returned where a hyphen breaks the search tool.

 

I have tried restarting, re-login, and it persists. Last year I had tried reinstalling the software and that did not fix it.

 

The behavior is the same on my web browser A360 page.

 

This is not a major issue, but it seems odd that a hyphen breaks the search tool.
