Screencast with Timeline - Export as MP4?

Hello,

I am about to start making YouTube videos regarding Fusion 360, and was wondering if it is possible to utilize Screencast to generate MP4 files (or another video format) to use in my editing software.

The amount of work to list steps, timelines, and keystrokes is large, so being able to utilize Screencast that already provides this would be very nice.

Google has provided no help as of yet, except for very old answers from 2015. I'm hoping things have changed since then.

Easy to do.  Record your Screencast the in the Screencast recorder dialog select Manage Screencast.

Manage Screencast.jpg

Then after you log in, you will see your Screencast listing.  Select the three dots.

Download.jpg

Then you will have a context menu to download your video in the format you desire.

Save as MP4.jpg

Unfortunately the downloaded file doesn't contain the keyboard strokes or the timeline that you get when viewing it on the web. Those items are what I am after. 🙂

I suspect that it will not become reality any time soon.
Even Camtasia only records key combinations.

But Fusion can already do this via Screencast, you apparently can't download the video with the details as part of the video. That is what I am asking about. 🙂

Hi,

Of course, it would be nice if there was such an output format.
With Camtasia, the .trec format is needed for this.
But I think that other applications would then also make demands for compatible formats.
