Scaling not working?

I'm trying to scale a DXF I inserted into my work.

This is what the program gives me:

After selecting my objects I can't select a base point to scale nor can I specify the scale factor-is there a way to fix this?

Hi @mp5024,

Thank you for posting in the forum! This is a known issue (FUS-36839) and the development team is working on this at the moment. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Because of this issue, sketch points selected as entities to be scaled cannot be selected as the point the sketch will be scaled around.

A workaround is as follows:

1. Manually add a point

2. Make sure the point you created at Step1 is not selected for Entity in the Scale command

3. Select the point you manually added for Point (left click and hold on the point will allow you to select overlapping entities)

Please see this screencast for more details and let me know if you have any questions.

This is still not fixed, in 2020.

Your solution does work though.

Select origin as a base point.

2023 and this is STILL not fixed. I'm just learning how to use this and the fact that I can't do something simple like change the scale of an object and that it has been broken for 5+ years tells me that I'm using the wrong 3D modelling software.

@djz2

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I can tell you that I am able to get any geometry to any scale that I desire.

Now it would be nice if Fusion 360 had Sketch Blocks... oh well...

I can get the scale I want now, the unfixed error that I mentioned is when the scaling point you choose is inside the body itself, after saving the scale remains same as before.
