Saved file not uploaded/versioned

This file was last touched yesterday. Since then it fails to upload them. No time-out, no error. Just trying forever to upload. I cancelled the instances pictured below, no change on the other.

I then opened the file (looks good and up to date, probably from local cache) and saved it with a different name. Its thumbnail keeps showing a spinning animation in the data panel, sign that something is not exactly right with the copy either.

I just went back to that folder and the "copy" is gone as if it never existed.

Any chance you get some progress analyzing this issue? I'm getting now into versioning conflicts with my colleague due to Fusion's failure to upload my file changes.

@ltomuta Unfortunately not yet. I believe we are in a bigger time zone difference and hence I am just starting to take a look. Will update here as soon as we know something.

Hi, we are looking at your logs and see that Fusion considers your hub to be single-user. But then it is running into reservations of models you are uploading by another user. Above, you mention a colleague.

Question: was another person recently removed from your project? If so, did this user have a reservation (by making edits) on this model before being removed?

Based on the fact that your colleague has saved a new version and still editing it, I would guess that that person has not been removed. One possibility is that your Fusion wrongly thinks you are the only person in the project. If you restart Fusion or click on the refresh button in the data panel on the left side, Fusion might correct this assumption.

I have a colleague and we are working together on a project hosted in my
colleague's personal storage space. I am a member of that project.

We've been doing this for a long time now, without any real problems. Why
we use his project and not a team hub, it is described here:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-feedback-hub/open-feedback-on-fusion-team-and-data-managem...

A while back Fusion introduced a feature whereby one team member could see
when a file is opened by somebody else. It worked for us for like a week or
so, then it did not. So I have no way of knowing if my colleague "reserved"
a file. I was not warned not to make changes to the file and to the best of
our knowledge I was the only one editing the file(s) from the initial post
here, especially the -M125 one. My colleague may have had at some point the
file without -M125 open but not at the time I was making changes.

Speaking of knowing when the file is reserved: Today, after that "save as
latest dialog showed" (after several repeated app crashes sent to Autodesk)
I suddenly started seeing the file as reserved by my colleague. Even after
he saved and closed the file, and after I was supposedly saving as latest,
nothing happened. No change was uploaded to that file. Its "reserved"
status stayed for a long time and my saves were only made locally.

To be noted that with all these files I tried to save them with another
name, in order to preserve my changes before attempting a local cache
reset. Each time the save attempt failed. A copy would appear to be saved
but in reality nothing would be uploaded and upon refreshing the data panel
the copy would be gone. My colleague may have reserved the initial files,
but he could not reserve the copies I was trying to make.

I've restarted Fusion several times since this happens, voluntarily and forced by crashes, and opened it on two different machines, at home and at work. Nothing seems to help force the sync.

Hi @ltomuta

We have identified the problem in the code that is resulting in these issues related to collaboration/reservation.  Many thanks for the details provided, which helped us identify the problem quickly.

We will work on a code fix and will deploy it with one of the upcoming updates of Fusion.  Meanwhile, we can turn off the collaboration/reservation functionality for you and your colleague so that you dont get blocked by issues in this area.  If you can provide the email addresses of the two of you, we can do this.  It will not affect any other functionality in Fusion except for collaboration/reservation.

If you want us to go ahead with this, please send me your email addresses: KATTETG@AUTODESK.COM

Thanks again, and sorry for the issues caused.

Regards

Gautham
