Save as mesh *.3mf hidden bodies

Hi all,

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but when selecting a hidden body and using 'save to mesh' as a 3mf file results in a filesize of 2kb with nothing in it (as in, Cura does not detect any model).

When turning the body visible and saving it again as a 3mf file works and Cura can import the model with no problems.

So I don't need any help, I was only wondering if this was a bug or intended feature.

Kind regards,

Bas

I am not an Autodesk employee but I would imagine that it is intended to work that way so that you can hide a body that you don't want included in a 3MF file. A body needs to be visible to be included in a 3MF.

@wmhazzard is correct.  Invisible bodies are never exported to mesh.

Ok, thank you for the clarification!

Although, some kind of message would be nice. It took me a while to figure out that an invisible body would not get exported..
