Rookie, can't figure out why Shell isn't working

Hit a roadblock in the fusion tutorial: https://www.autodesk.com/learn/ondemand/course/learn-fusion-for-cad-in-90-minutes/unit/1OUko7TjW6tLH...

 

No matter what I do, I can't use the Shell command to hollow out my "tumbler" or coffee mug, specifically I can't select a face body.

You have a surface body.

use the Surface Stitch command to convert it to a solid:

Then, you can shell it:

Just curious, any idea why it required a stitch command? I was surprised to hit this so early in the noob course work.

You created a surface body. You probably intended to create a solid body. Check the tabs at the top of the screen. Both Solid and Surface have an Extrude command, but they do different things.

There are two Revolve commands:  One that is a Solid Revolve (blue icon) that creates solid bodies:

and a second that is a Surface Revolve (orange icon) that creates surface bodies:

You just used the orange one:
