Reversing draft pull direction on surface

Hi Fusion360tanistas!

I am creating a part used for plastic injection molding and got a part scanned and I modified the part to suit my applications. The thing is though, with the methods I used, using existing surfaces to trim out unwanted parts, I ended up with a problem. One of the surfaces has a draft pull direction in the opposite way as the rear bosses.

I am not sure how to go about reversing the taper on the outer ring surface because it is connected to other features and there is no timeline since it originated from an X_T File. BTW What are X_T files? I was also given a STEP file, but the X_T file is easier to work with and allows more modification operations, but is there a way to convert it to a F3D File?

You made one crucial mistake in that you did not enable the timeline before editing the part.

Adding draft or even changing draft of existing geometry can be trick without filleted edges, but fillets will definitely interfere with that.

Thanks for the tip about capturing design history. I may have to re-do it from scratch, but next time I will have a timeline to get me out of a pinch if needed. I didn't know you could do that!

If you create a new design in Fusion 360 the timeline is enabled by default, although that can be changed in the preferences.

When you import a model from external sources, you import "dumb solids" and in that case the timeline is by default disabled. That allows you to de-feature ( e.g. remove fillets) a model without polluting the timeline with all these unneeded features.

The timeline can be enabled/disabled by right-clicking on the root of the browser and selecting:
