I plan to convert a polygonal mesh into CAD.

How to do this:

for retopology in Polygon Modeller I can make Splines or Polys that

snap automaticly to the reference mesh.

I would like to do similar thinks. But how?

Do Fusion have an Snap function?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @stefan8FSTS ,

If you want to convert a mesh body to BRep body

  • With Triangular mesh facets, convert to Brep
    1. When a mesh body has triangular facets
    2. Convert "Mesh to BRep"
    3. Mesh to Brep
  • With Triangular mesh facets, convert to Brep from Mesh section
    • When a mesh body has triangular facets
    • "Create Mesh Section"
    • From Mesh section create 2D sketch
    • Create solid body from extrude
    • Mesh Section & BRep
  • With Quad mesh facets, convert to Brep
    1. Import the Quad mesh file to Fusion 360
    2. Go to sculpt
    3. Convert Mesh to TSplines
