repeating circles at set distances - Kind of like tabs when cutting with cnc

Hi,

Hoping some of you knowledgeable folk can help out.

I have drawn a shape in fusion 360 and now i wish to draw 2.5mm circles, 10m away from the edges of this shape all alone, the distance between the circles roughly 40mm or so, but thats not that critical,  if i can define X amount of circles instead of distance between them thats fine. If this makes sense? currently i am manually adding them all individually

see attahced screen shot and quick video of what i am doing

Something like this?

pattern on the path.png

Make a path (e.g. by offset) and use if for Pattern on the Path of the feature that you're making with the first circle.

Sure, here is a screencast. I don't have "Auto project geometry on active sketch plane" on in my preferences, so first I used Project. If you have that option on (which is the case by default) you might not need the initial projection. Also, to tell Fusion which offset lines should be part of the path I made others as Construction line.

By default when you use a sketch for a feature (e.g. Extrude in your case) it automatically becomes hidden. Mine didn't because I have changed my preferences. You can turn it visible again from its eye icon in the Browser (left of your screen).
