Renders on my large assembly fail to start however I don't get any errors.

I'm having a problem with the local render with a large assembly, roughly 25000 components, whereby the render simply doesn't start, I don't get any errors, the render doesn't show in the render gallery either, it just sits and thinks for a good 20 minutes and then closes the render settings.

I have checked the problem isn't my computer as the problem persists after restarts and on my colleagues computer.

Further the local renderer is definitely working as I can open other parts and assemblies and generate renders of them.

I believe this may simply be down to just how large the assembly is however I would like to avoid having to make a cut down version for rendering.

Appreciate any help or suggestions you have.

You could start hiding some of the subassemblies to reduce the number of components to be rendered and see what the results are.

25k components is indeed a very large assembly.

So taking it all the way the back to about 500 Components and dropping the render quality from Excellent to Standard seemed to work. That is however missing the majority of what I actually need to show in the image.

I frequently render images with assemblies in the 4000-6000 component range. The issue might not actually be the number of components, but something else related to a specific subassembly. Might need more investigating with hiding specific subassemblies.
