Release Fusion 360 2.0.17954 x86_64 changed selection of intersecting objects?

Yesterday I was creating some intersection straight pipes and removing the "blockages" caused by the intersections without any problems.  Autodesk then updated to Fusion 360 2.0.17954 x86_64 and this morning I cannot select or remove these "blockages".

Has something changed in Fusion 360 2.0.17954 x86_64 that might be causing me this problem?  Yesterday I though I was beginning to get the hang of Fusion 360 but this morning I'm totally back to square 1!

I found  workaround to not being able to select the "blockage" pieces which was to "cut" a hole through.  I was then able to apply a fillet to the inside joints but now find I cannot select the outside joints.  Selection either "grabs" nothing or the entire body!

I reiterate that I am trying to do exactly the same things that worked perfectly before the update :-(.

Seems a bit odd that you got that update yesterday as it was released on 30th of November? Can you share a design to demonstrate the problem you're having?

Will try and put together a simple design to show this.  Note that I rarely use Fusion 360 which explains why I only got the update in the last couple of days.  I ignored the update initially when creating the object.

How best to share a design?  FYI I'm on the non-commercial (free) version.

Just use Export from the file menu and save as an f3d. Hopefully you use the timeline so we can see how you've built the model.

A simple example of my project is attached.  It's a simple Y of two hollow pipes and I want to remove the blockages inside.  Previously I could use the Inspect, Section Analysis tool to look inside, select faces and then the intersections could be deleted.  Now I don't seem able to select the faces.  Don't be embarrassed about asking "are you doing this obvious thing" questions as I am a newbie so obvious to you might not be to me :-).
