Reaching out - Help with getting started in Fusion 360

Hi All.

I am a 2D Autodesk user with 20 years experience in AutoCAD, and have limited Inventor experience.

I have recently introduced Fusion 360 into my business in order to manipulate 3D scans, create and design forms and ultimately - 3D print, machine, extract flat patterns to be cut using CNC and model parts for use all based and designed off the original 3D scans.

I am having a lot of trouble getting started in fusion, even running the program seems to be very difficult. I purchased a new Hi-Spec computer specifically because I knew I would be using massive data points, however I cannot get fusion to run consistently without huge delays and spinning circles. Even simple processes seem very difficult for the software. I dont beleive it is a program or computer problem I expect I have some setting wrong.

Very little thinigs are a problem for me at this stage. For example, I opened a dwg in Fusion and the drawing is covered in points, circle centers, end points and I can not find a way to turn them off.

Sheepishly and shyly, I am reaching out in this forum for some assistance. I have had 2 different so called experts come to my place of workplace as paid consultants to help me get started. Both have been unsuccessful in advancing me and the process very far due mainly to there lack of experience in Fusion.

I find it difficult to explain what I want to do in a point by point manor. I can explain the objective and the project but not the how to get there in Fusion or what part I am having trouble with in Fusion. The project is complex geometrically with 100% free form organic design.

I would love to find someone with incredible Fusion 360 skills that would capable and interested in assisting me on the ground level to make this project a reality.

The project is based in a lovely part Regional NSW Australia – Orange NSW.

Please contact me if there is someone out there who is interested, willing and able to help.

Kind regard

Angus Barrett

I can do that, but it'll be a while as I will be on vacation for 2 weeks starting on Thursday.

I'd be happy to connect afterwards. Let me know if you are still interested.
