Hi,

I've been having issues rendering my files. It can only be rendered in-canvas but not locally nor via cloud. The blocks of my files are fairly simplified and i seem to be having the same problem lately. I'm attaching the files here that I've been having issues with.  Desperately need an answer to this issue 😞

I think this post got moved to the Fusion 360 forums, are you rendering in AutoCAD or in Fusion?

There are some objects not translating well from DWG. Where did these files originate? Even if from AutoCAD i would consider trying to export them in something else.

I was able to get one of them working by

  1. Exporting it out as a step file
  2. Saving both mesh bodies out as STL
  3. Open the STEP file
  4. Reimporting the mesh files into the newly opened step file
  5. Then render works normally

Hi Ryan,

Are you able to provide me screenshots on how to do this as I'm not very familiar in exporting files to STL format?
Thanks!

I reduced the design down and removed a fair amount of null components but the gist of it is this:

Right click on the mesh and use 'save as mesh' either form of STL will work.

Once this is done, you'll need to export the main file as STEP (this is because the meshes will not export and in their current state do not convert). Then reimport the meshes in the opened STEP file.

Hi Ryan,

Could I please kindly check if you have done all of the conversion in AutoCAD or Fusion?
I’ve been attempting to convert the entire using both autocad and fusion and I still unable to render. I’m fairly new to Fusion so please bear with me. 😊

I did all the steps above in Fusion 360. You could try exporting from AutoCAD and it might work. I didn't test that and its still a long shot. It really depends on where the designs originated.
