"Insert Into Current Design" option is entirely missing.

I've done a lot of poking around the forums but still have not found an answer to this, for whatever reason my version of Fusion 360 just doesn't have the option to insert into current design. Like if I right click on something in my assets it is just missing from the dropdown. Also recently, drag and drop to insert stopped working as well. (This is on an educational license by the way.)

The Assets folder is used to store support information and models and is not available for storage of personal files.  Since this is true, the Insert into Current Design is not available.  This is normal operation.

It doesn't appear when clicking on files in my project directory either.

If you do not see the Insert into Current Design command when you right click on a file in one of your Project folders then I would consider using the Repair Option in the Fusion 360 Service Utility.  Since you only referred to the Assets folder I told you that this was normal behavior.

I've tried the repair utility, I've tried reinstalling, I've tried rebooting several times, still no dice.
Strange that seemingly nobody else has had this issue before.

Update: I've found that it works in my project's root folder, but nowhere else. If I go into any of the subfolders in the project, the option to insert into current design disappears from the dropdown.
