"Error: No alignment suggested by geometry could be found"

I constantly align objects by face and point.  Sometimes a component to an object and vice versa.  Recently it seems however I try to align anything I repeatedly get this error message.

"Error: No alignment suggested by geometry could be found"

This is really messing up my workflow as I now have to measure and move command to align two faces (or points) of two separate objects.  Really slowing me down and it seems to be frequent after the latest updates.

You'll probably won't like my comment but anyway I am going to post it. Align and Move should be used rarely for modeling in Fusion. Either you build your object in the right place using properly defined sketches/construction entities (and then if it's a component you apply As Built Joint to keep it there), or you build it somewhere else and use Joint to bring a component to the required position.

I mean if you don't design complex designs that require constant iterations and dozens of external linked components and assemblies.  The align function is the quickest way to bring one object to another object accurately and practically.  Joints make sense for certain scenarios but are often more time consuming and can be problematic down the road.  Align is a very easily reversed or undone solution which makes revisions and tweaks that much easier without rebuilding a joint.

Aside from all that this isn't answering my problem.  The align function seems to be broken and Im not sure if its an error with my project and the server or just a recent change to the software that prohibits using the align function as it used to function.

we are not aware of any problems with the core of Align.  In general, if you get that error, it means that some other condition (a joint, for example) has constrained the object you are trying to move in such a way that the two geometries you chose to align cannot be so aligned.  But, without a model and a screencast showing what you are trying to do, that is just a guess.  Can you share your design here, and help us understand what you are trying to align?

I also have this issue.
I can move the component just fine. It is a very simple component imported as a STEP from misumi, then I rigid grouped all its subcomponents together.
But now I drag it into my model and I can move it just fine. But am completely unable to align.
