Projecting sketches onto curved surface

Hi, I'm trying to model a smokebox door (curved 'half' door on the front of the locomotive) and need to project the hinge straps onto the surface, but I'm struggling to make it work. The curved surface is actually a flat surface extrusion with a large fillet applied to the face. Probably not the best way to go about this, but the only way I found to achieve the shape I want. Any ideas how I could do this would be greatly appreciated, but please bear in mind I'm relatively new to Fusion, and don't have a background in digital modelling 🙂

Yes you could do the projection, but then what?

Draw the front view of the strap, top view in your model.  Project the flange edges into the sketch.

Now Extrude the strap profile that only covers the dome, (1)

start position, is selected from object,

select the dome face (2)

pull the arrow up, and set thickness of the strap. (3)

Repeat for other faces of the model....

The Emboss command is the same thing, with geometry that suits.

Might help....
