Projected geometries, how to disable profiles?

Hi guys, this one is driving me nuts.  How do I prevent the profiles of projected geometries from being selected?  The selected profile shown here is from the underlying projected geometry that was generated from an existing body.  I have that reference body (and all other bodies) hidden and the projected geometry for the active sketch is also hidden.  All other sketches have "Show Profiles" disabled.

Can you upload the model? Does shutting profiles off in THIS sketch disable all of them? are other sketches visible?

Hard to tell exactly the conditions you have just from a picture.  Please attach your model and as much additional information as you can.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

I will see if I can figure out how to upload the model, I'm new to the forum.  I've been using F360 for quite awhile, but this is the first time I've had an issue I couldn't find the solution for.  Yes, if Show Profiles is disable for the active sketch then no profiles can be selected but the hidden reference lines do show if I hover the mouse over them.  No other sketches or bodies are set to visible.

It’s a Preference setting.  When automatic project on sketch Create is on, Fusion will Project the face the sketch is created on.

It will show you the profiles, but, you only have to move the mouse away from those profiles, to unhighlight them.

Might help.....

I was ranting about this sort of thing here,

but calmed down again. For this one.

Still seeing the same issue so I created a simple test project to try and figure things out.  As you can see in the image below, if I wanted to extrude the square and leave a hole per the active sketch I would need to click on the "hidden" profile as well as the hole in the active sketch.  Not a big deal for something this simple, but for more complex models it can lead to tiny profiles being left out of the extrusion.   I've attached the model file and a pic of my Preference settings.  Thanks for your help, I'm sure it's something simple that I'm just not seeing.

You have projected geometry in that sketch that is off in the sketch settings. This will still generate a valid profile in the sketch. You'd need to remove it to clear those profiles.

Correction:  I meant to say "click on the hidden profile as well as the area defined by the square in the active sketch".
